Elementary Student Pick Up Procedure
If a student is brought to school after 8:30 a.m., a parent/guardian must come in to the office and sign the student in for the day. Students are considered tardy after 8:30 a.m.
- If a student is being picked up from school, a parent/guardian must do one of the following prior to 11:00 a.m. on the day of pick up.
- Phone and provide your student’s name, grade/teacher and identify the person for pick-up of this student.
- Send in a letter for the entire school year with your child’s name, grade/teacher, if they are to be picked up every day.
- Send in a note for the day the student is to be picked up, please include the student’s name, grade/teacher and to whom the student is to be released.
You do not need to enter the building to pick up a student at departure time. Please allow our departure personnel to bring the student to you. For your convenience, please park along the circle in front of the elementary office.
Students release for pick-up will be sent out with departure personnel between 3:05 and 3:10 p.m. Thank-you for your patience and cooperation. As always, every effort is made to safely accommodate you and the needs of all of our students. However, as the day progresses it becomes very difficult to meet every emergency change for our 300+ students. Emergencies happen and will be managed on a student by student basis.

With the support of our parent-teacher organization, students and staff enjoy many co-curricular activities that supplement the Joseph Badger curriculum. Programs and activities assist in an already enriching and well-rounded education for our students. Parents and community members form a generous hard-working organization which complements a dedicated hardworking staff. Their continued assistance and service with student-centered events is certainly appreciated.
We are extremely proud to continue the sponsorship of fourth grade swimming which takes place in the form of six lessons at the Hubbard Community Pool.
Additional programs and services supported by PTO include Book Fairs, Christmas Corner/Holiday Shoppe, field trip for each grade level, Winter Wonderland Dance, Bowling Day, Mad Hatter Tea, Pumpkin Race Day, Field Day, Last Day of School Fun Day, Destination Imagination, Skating Parties, library books, senior Citizen Dinner, Meet the Teacher Night, Parent/Teacher Conferences and more. PTO contributes considerable time and energy making the Joseph Badger School a better place to serve children.
With the combined efforts of parents, staff, students and the community, we will continue to provide quality, co-curricular activities in our new facility that will complement our academic
offerings.
