Sex Offender Search

In order to maintain awareness of sex offenders living in your neighborhood, we have added a Sex Offender Registry to our website. The registry will allow you to enter any local address. It will then provide a list of all registered Trumbull County sex offenders living within a one-mile radius within the boundaries of Trumbull County. If you are looking for information about a particular sex offender, registered in Trumbull County, the registry can help there as well.

We encourage you to take advantage of the free email notification. When a sex offender registers with the Trumbull County Ohio Sheriff’s Office you will be alerted if the offender’s address is:

1. in Trumbull County, and
2. within one mile of the address you have entered on your subscription.

In Ohio, school bus pick-up procedures prioritize student safety by requiring students to be at the designated bus stop at least 5 minutes before the scheduled arrival time and within the driver’s view. Students should wait in a designated “place of safety” away from the curb until the bus comes to a complete stop and the driver signals them to approach. When boarding, students should use handrails, proceed directly to their assigned seat, and remain seated until the bus stops at their destination.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
Before the Bus Arrives:
  • Arrive Early:

Students should be at their designated bus stop at least 5 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.

  • Designated Place of Safety:

Students should wait in a designated “place of safety” near the bus stop, where the driver can clearly see them. This might be marked with tape or a landmark, and it’s important for students to know where it is.

  • – Badger students place of safety is the student pick up location/driveway, 10-15 feet from the road
  • Safety Zone:

Students should remain within the safety zone while waiting for the bus, avoiding the street, ditches, or waiting in vehicles.

  • No Chasing the Bus:

Students should not chase after the bus, as this is dangerous.

Boarding the Bus:
  • Wait for the Signal:

Students should wait for the bus to come to a complete stop and the driver to lower their hand (or give a hand signal) before approaching.

  • Cross Carefully:

If crossing the street, students should wait for the driver’s hand signal and then look both ways before crossing at least 10 feet in front of the bus.

  • Use Handrails:

Students should use the handrails when boarding the bus.

  • Proceed to Seat:

Students should immediately proceed to their assigned seat and remain seated for the duration of the ride.

While on the Bus:
  • Stay Seated: Students should remain seated, keeping their back against the seat and their feet on the floor.
  • Keep Belongings Organized: Backpack straps and drawstrings should be kept short to prevent them from getting caught on anything.
  • Quiet and Orderly: Students should be quiet and orderly, avoiding horseplay or distracting the driver.
  • No Throwing Objects: Throwing objects, both on and off the bus, is prohibited.
  • No Lying Down: Students should not lie down in their seats.
  • No Profanity or Disruptive Behavior: Students should not use profane language or engage in disruptive behavior.
  • No Food or Drinks: Food and drinks (including candy and gum) are generally not allowed on the bus.
  • Follow Driver’s Instructions: Students must follow the bus driver’s instructions at all times.
